Kerry Trapnell, Chief Executive Officer
Kerry has over 15 years of healthcare experience in both finance and operations. Prior to joining Greenwood Rehabilitation Hospital as CEO, he most recently served as CFO of Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital as well as CFO of Greenwood Regional Rehabilitation Hospital prior to that. Kerry has a passion for providing quality outcomes to each patient in the communities we serve. Kerry received his Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Valdosta State University. He is also a member of ACHE and HFMA.


Theresa Phillips, Human Resource Manager
Theresa has 15 years of human resource experience, with 6 being in healthcare. She graduated Anderson University with a Bachelor of Organizational Leadership/ HR, holds her PHR through the HRCI/SHRM, and is a graduate of Leadership Greenwood. She enjoys being a coach and voice of encouragement. Theresa enjoys working with charitable intent, where raising awareness makes a difference in the lives of others.


Clifford A. Monda, D.O., Medical Director
Dr. Monda received his medical training at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and residency training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Spain Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Monda specializes in acute rehabilitation for stroke, neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, and bone and joint diseases. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Monda is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner for South Carolina. He has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. He and his family reside in Greenwood, South Carolina.


Rich Hujus, Director of Plant Operations, Safety Officer
Rich has been in the Facilities Operations field for over 26 years. He is a FEMA Incident Command ICS-300 trained safety officer and leads our teams Hospital Incident Command System for emergency response. His past includes Director of Facilities Operations & Safety for a 520 bed Long Term Skilled Nursing Facility and Director of Plant Operations for a 160 bed Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upstate New York. Rich is an active member of NFPA, National Fire Protection Association and ASHE, American Society for Healthcare Engineering.


Art Kirkland, LBSW, Director of Marketing and Business Development
Art is a Licensed Social Worker with over 10 years experience working with individuals with disabilities and special needs including brain injuries. He has hands on experience working as a hospital social worker. He joined the GRRH team in 2007 as a Clinical Liaison and was promoted to Director of Marketing and Business Development in 2011. Art has extensive experience in helping individuals who are in need of acute inpatient rehabilitation. Art earned his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Social Work from Limestone College.


Janice Gardner, Director of Pharmacy Services
Janice has over 30 years of experience in the profession of pharmacy working in hospitals, nursing homes, and retail settings. Experience includes clinical, IV admixture, managerial, consulting and pharmacy computer system conversions. She received her BS and Pharm D degrees from the University of South Carolina. Janice joined the GRRH team in 2007.


Charity L. Walker, Controller & Regional Business Office Manager
Growing up in small-town Edgefield, Charity decided to remain in the Greenwood area after attending Lander University. Charity has over 10 years of experience in healthcare business office and finance, in both the assisted living and hospital sectors. Charity has received a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Science in Accounting. Charity was fortunate to be a part of Greenwood Regional Rehabilitation Hospital when it took its first patient in 2007 as the Business Office Manager. She left in 2010 and returned in 2012 as the Regional Business Office Manager. Charity was promoted to Controller in 2013 and is committed to cost effective healthcare for both the hospital and the communities that we serve.


Angela Young, Director of Therapy Operations
Angela graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She is licensed as a physical therapist in Arkansas and South Carolina. With Angela’s twenty one years of experience, she has worked with stroke survivors in various settings of Physical Therapy including acute care, long term acute care, out patient, acute rehab and sub-acute rehab from treating therapist to management and stroke program development. She has provided program development at BHMC-NLR for CARF Accreditation as a Stroke Specialty Rehabilitation Unit.
